Stanford Domains Maintenance Notification

Reclaim Hosting, our cloud vendor for Stanford Domains, will upgrade its web hosting platform this month. The upgrade to the web hosting platform is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, from 6:00-10:00 a.m. PDT.
Your hosted websites will not experience downtime during the upgrade. However, you will not be able to access cPanel dashboards via domains.stanford.edu during the upgrade.
Please note: This upgrade does not affect sites.stanford.edu, web.stanford.edu, or AFS.
What is changing after the upgrade:
- There will be a new intermediary landing page between the Dashboard login at domains.stanford.edu and your cPanel dashboards.
- When you log in via SSO at domains.stanford.edu/dashboard, you will see a new landing page listing all cPanels you can access.
- If you access multiple cPanels, you will be able to switch between cPanels from the list on the new landing page. (Previously, a toggle in the bottom-left of your cPanel dashboard allowed you to switch between accounts; this will be replaced by the new landing page options.)
- What is not changing: The domains.stanford.edu web page, Dashboard SSO login process, cPanel content, and SFTP process will remain the same.
What to do:
- Review and complete any pending core and security updates. Take backups as necessary before doing so. You can refer to our support doc here on how to check.
- Important: Upgrade PHP to version 8.2. Refer to our support doc here for PHP recommendation and how to change PHP versions here.
