When joining the Stanford Domains, you will be asked to pick a domain name for your website. Please see “Choosing A Domain Name” article for more information. Let say you picked a domain name called profX. All your website URLs will have the following format:
- profX.su.domains
- cs101.profX.su.domains
- econ101.profX.su.domains
You can also request to have a website name with Stanford brand such as cs101.stanford.edu hosted on the Stanford Domain. Please see “Getting stanford.edu website on Stanford Domains” article for more detail.
Want your own domain name such as adamlevine.com on Stanford Domain! Yes, you can. In order for this to work, you need to purchase your own domain from Reclaim Hosting, or from other third party domain registrars.
